Aloha Oahu Fresh Members!

Another great bag this week featuring GIGANTIC pak choi coming from the amazing Ms. Jackie Akuna and her high school students at Leileihua High School.   Many of the farms are low in production right now due to all the rain we’ve had in the past few weeks, but they’re still able to bring in some great items again this week!

Aquaponic Lettuce – Mari’s Garden

Local Bananas – Kakoo Oiwi

 

So what do you do with all this pak choi.  For starters, pak choi is a cooking vegetable, however it can be eater  raw.  Check out Hawaii Horticulture for more information about this tasty vegetable.

Honey Chicken with Pak Choi  – nice easy dish that can be modified based on personal preference and what you have in the kitchen!

Spicy Sesame Eggplant and Pak Choi Stir Fry – interesting blog with a fantastic recipe to use both your hapa eggplant and pak choi!

Kale & Cucumber Salad with Lemon Tahini Dressing – another simple dish that can be modified as needed.  Use last week’s lemon if you still have it!
